Tilly Shoulder Bag, Nevermore a Tribute to Edgar Allan Poe.
This is my Tilly shoulder bag but first let’s talk about this incredible fabric! It’s called Nevermore and is a tribute to Edgar Allan Poe. You can check out the Poe Museum page if you want to learn more about him. It tells us he is credited with creating the first detective novel, The Murders in the Rue Morgue. His poetry is unforgettable, like the Raven. This fabric gets its name from the most memorable line from the poem: “Quoth the Raven ‘Nevermore'”.
Poe’s horror stories will stay with you too, like The Tell Tale Heart, and The Pit and the Pendulum. Just reading the names give me the shivers.
I could dwell on Poe for much longer but let’s get back to the Tilly! It began life as the Zelda Deluxe messenger bag. I added a zipper closure, an outer zippered pocket to the front, removed the flap and voila, it’s a Tilly. On one side there’s an open pocket, great for those items you need to access easily, like a phone.
On the other side a zippered pocket.
Inside there’s a key clip, a bottle sleeve and the very popular Zoe Pocket Set, great for organizing the contents. The Tilly also comes in four sizes if you need something more roomy.
